A French car with mid engine
This car is called Simca Matra Bagheera and it is built with components from Simca 1100. The body work is made of fibre glass.
The engine of 1294ccm is the same that is fitted to Simca 1100 Special. In the Matra the engine is fitted transversally in front of the rearaxle and the effect is increased to 84 hp at 6000 rpm. It has also "borrowed" the gearbox, radiator, heating and front brakes from Simca 1100.
This car is three seated with the driver and both passengers in front seats. There are no room for a rear seat due to the placement of the engine.
